Are all BX power steering racks interchangeable?? IE is the one from a 1.9D with pas the same as a 16v etc.

of all the bx's ive owned i have never seen a notable difference in power steering racks, i have swapped diesel racks with no probs but not a petrol, my only guess would be a difference due to the extra engine weight of the diesel??

I don't think the diesel engine's much heavier than the petrol is it? They're basically the same motor as far as I remember.

Probably about 30kgs....they use iron blocks where the petrols use alloy.

PAS racks are all the same.
