Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
Can't remember if Gary decided to fix his car or not? I'm after one though - I have a second hand one lined up but in unknown condition at present. If this doesn't go for silly money then I'll got for this one, cheers for the link.

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
Yup. I only want the bit around the fuel filler, so the fact that this panel is otherwise damaged is ideal

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
I don't think that's extortionate considering they aren't available new now.

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
Agreed, but the bit Mat wants probably works out at £3 a square inch! If he's careful with his cutting, he might even be able to flog the lower half...Tim Leech wrote:I don't think that's extortionate considering they aren't available new now.

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
I have been after one since February, so I was quite determined to get it. Lets just say I wasn't too worried even when that last second bid came in...RxBX wrote:You must have beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen very desperate for it![]()

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
that aint a bad price, the last pair of genuine wings I bought were £168 each...
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
Hell, then getting both of mine for 20 quid each wasnt bad. Both genuine and then there's the MK 1 ones which were even cheaper.docchevron wrote:that aint a bad price, the last pair of genuine wings I bought were £168 each...

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
Thanks Andy - rub it in why don't you?
I've been in email contact with the seller who seems very friendly. Apparently they had BXs for years, and her husband was going to bin the panel until she suggested listing it on eBay. They were rather surprised at what it went for!

Re: Mk2 Drivers side Rear Quarter Panel,
Mat, it just goes to show how in general that the replacement panel prices for BX's have gone up as indeed the vehicles themselves !mat_fenwick wrote:Thanks Andy - rub it in why don't you?

As I remember Tim posting up a new O/S/R PANEL approx. a year ago which had been tack welded on a vehicle but then for some reason it was removed and then listed on E-bay which sold for only £20 !
But at least you've sorted out the panel on your Estate now !
