Got a problem on the TZD that when you turn off the ignition the engine still runs, Im guessing its the stop solenoid on the fuel pump as it's exactly the same symptoms Daisy had a number of years ago.
Sorry if this is stupid but my question is, is the emergency stop lever spring loaded or is it a one use thing that then shuts down the fuel pump ? I've had to stall the car a couple of times to stop it but would prefer to use the lever if it's safer to do so ?
Pump in question is Lucas I believe.

Use the stop lever as often as you like, before the advent of stop solenoids they used to use cables that operated the stop lever from the drivers seat either dash or floor mounted.
