Re: Temperature transmitter
Not sure if you're asking or telling? It says it's a switch and I think (although happy to be prooved wrong) that single terminal ones are switches whereas guage type ones have two terminals.

Re: Temperature transmitter
Gauge ones only have one terminal too. Temperature probes for the ECU have two terminals though!
That looks like a switch to me as well: the 'sensors' for gauges tend to have a longer probe.

You're wrong!BX Bandit wrote:happy to be prooved wrong
EDIT - crossed posts there with conflicting advice
EDIT 2 - I'm referring to the body of the switch/sender being taller, not the probe part. Will still check though!

Does it start with an "M" and end with a "Fenwick" (and a headache)?

I have zero patience for your tedium.

Re: Temperature transmitter
I can confirm that the part with the long housing is the switch, looking (from the outside at least) like the one in the eBay photo. I'm guessing Brian has bought one which is why he's able to confirm this is the right one?
Oh, and cheers!

Spot-on MatI'm guessing Brian has bought one which is why he's able to confirm this is the right one?
If you are modifying your instrument pod to include the temp gauge from the GTis and 16v etc then this is the bit you need to make it work. This particular part number reduces it's resistance to almost exactly 130 ? at 100°C. Coincidentally, the temp gauge reads 100° when it's connected to ground / chassis / 0v through a 130 ? resistor. The transmitter I bought from a Citroen dealer was not as accurate - having found a part that worked properly I added it to my eBay searches - this is the first time it has come up since then so if you need this sensor I'd grab it while you can.

My thoughts exactly, although he's declined to comment.
Sorry electrokid, it just goes to show you shouldn't listen to a wino like me
But, as I'm adding guaging, then I shall purchase forthwith! Good heads up mate.
