Bosch diesel pump leak

I have a leak on top of the fuel pump where the throttle spindle goes in. The only injection pump I've played with before this is the 1960's CAV pump on my Land Rover, so before I start taking it to pieces how easy a fix is this likely to be? If it's any help I suspect I may have blown a seal while priming the system after my cylinder head work.

I've got a seal set if you need it, as I only replaced a few seals on my Bosch pump (the easy ones!)

Taking the top off a Bosch pump is a PITA as far as I can see - I can't remember if I replaced the spindle or not but you might get away with just replacing the O ring at the top of the spindle which you might be able to get at just by taking the throttle cable plates off and peering in the top with something and sharp to remove the O ring.

Yes please Mat, although it's not as urgent now. As it leaks after being dry for a while, it's only a matter of time before it starts leaking all the time.

i was told once by a diesel component repairer if the one way valves in the banjo unions stick, this can cause presure to build up and force fuel out were ever it can, even if the seals are in good condition,
