aerial mast

Post by rugmuncher »

Yo Peeps! Anybody tell me the size of nut I need for the aerial mast fixing on my TZD? :? I just bought it and after fitting my stereo the reception was pants! I removed the sunfoof binacle to access the aerial fixing and found that it wasn't even connected to the aerial lead! A load of white powder fell out when I opened the binnacle!! :D Sanded filler it turned out! :( I can't say why the roof had been filled but as a consequence the aerial had been left disconected. So, I need to know what size the nut is so I can go and get one and fix my antenna! Cheers all. [-o<

In which direction, could be your brains visual centre, I am old enough to be Super 8  .

Seriously though. Doesn't the cable have an outer sheath that needs to connect to the cars shell as it mounts. If there is filler present that might create a secondary issue.

A couple of people (Tom St.James springs to mind for one) have found rust in front of the sunroof of cars that have had wind deflectors fitted - may be worth checking if yours has had a similar issue at one point.
