Free box of bits

Post by Thread Bear »

Sorting out some stuff I have been given. A pair of boxed new spheres with number BX 40 RX and 19-08-97 on them. The second looks like a date but the first number does not show up on a sphere chart I found as a recognisable part number. My guess is BX rear (40) but RX, rear axle? Came with an accumulator sphere 95437354 which checks out as most BX.
Also includes a new after market - a hot Stratty topic - front indicator light assembly. A set of good used Citroen mudguards/mudflaps, also a Stratty conversation item. Nice surprise from friends of friends I do not really know, but I agree, better than throwing them away.

Ohhh, Ohhhh mudflaps, are they front ones?

Im after a good pair for the StTropez (as its only got one for some reason?)

Oh and the spheres check out as BX14 rears, so also excellent for the StTropez.

Can we come to an arrangement Mr Thread Bear?

Sadly I was impressed, wrong word, disenchanted, by the common rust attack on wing voids on the BX gathered at Stratty. So the set of four flaps will be going on Walt. I already have a sunroof spoiler for him.
The spheres, thank you for ID, I am less sure about but I have the 1.4, yet to establish model designation, coming back this month and I suspect it will need spheres if it is like the other cars out of long ownership. However should that not be the case I will bare it in mind.

I have one spare front mud flap...I'm sure we could come to some arrangement ;) Assuming it's not for the same side as you already have!
