1990 19TZD manual n/a in Black f/s with aircon!

For sale by a friend of mine in Ireland, car moves between Wexford and Dublin. Bought from a one owner in Scotland and registered here. Has aircon (not working but has been advised is fixable and i think he has one or two parts - pulley?). I drove this for a weekend a few months ago and it's very solid, only thing i noticed was the clutch needed to be absolutely to the floor for changes, may have been sorted, not sure. Otherwise good.

A full service, new timing belt, waterpump, new brakes, new tyres and all hydraullic pipes replaced where necessary. Will come with a new nct for a full year.

before you UK folk pucker up and say that's outrageous! Bear in mind any car new or s/h car in Ireland has increased residual value from the government's Vehicle Registration Tax (minimum €720 for a s/h BX), which bumps up the price of s/h jalopies a bit!

Looks very nice but not a TZD Interior and no front splitter? I actually prefer the grey tweed interior.

As its a NON turbo it wouldnt have have either of them (its a 16TZS basically with a 1.9D), the front fogs and baby walker spoiler have been retro fitted.

Lovely looking car but I think will be too rich to import.

I'm a bit confused, my TXD has got the Gti style interior, how come this one has a TGD style one?

A TZ is basically a TR so a plush non sporty BX. The TX was a run out model so they fitted the sporty style interior to cooking models to help them sell.

AFAIK, early TZ models had the tweed TR trim level before they got velour in '91ish, and tweed was relegated to TG level.

Its got more leccy bits, but an inferior interior, typical citroen.

The gti seats are more comfortable and supportive but I like the tweed too- extra soft which gives you the old school Citroen feel- ideally suited to an auto so you can just sit back and sink into them. I found myself wanting the gti style ones in my 16TZS with a manual gearbox. Ie Meteor spec, but like the look of the TZS with the rear quarter windows. I'd go for a 19TZS auto if I was going for another. Not many around though. I think Vantman/Brian wants to sell his but I've just spent a load on the Saab, that's driving lovely now, would like to bring it to a Citroen meet.

This is something particular to Ireland - when my parents moved over they had to provide proof (logbooks, old insurance documents etc.) that they's owned their vehicles more than 3 years in order to avoid paying the duty.
