Ladies and Gentlemen, You may know me only for my Red BX TGD but in secret I've been hiding something. It started when I saw a post on the BX Facebook site about a BX 16v. id been looking at the videos on YouTube of the so called 'Valvers'. I was interested and naturally been 17 I wanted to go fast ! So when I saw the post about this 16v I was very interested I got the contact details and let daddy sort out the complicated side of things (communicating with strangers) And eventually on the 20 something of July 2013 I owned F172 NYV it looked abit rough around the edges but id fallen and that was it, gave her a clean and she looked amazing but after the excitement and pinching adrenaline had calmed down under further inspection she needed some work but it was expected I mean she sat in a garage for 10 years without turning the new set of firestone tyres once. so I wasn't to disheartened and soon enough work was under way, needed a little bit of bodywork which I had a go at but mostly my dad helped me with that and did a fantastic job, she also needed some welding which I could definitely do as I part restored an Anglia well the work on the Anglia stopped as the 16v came on the scene. so anyway the welding was done engine had a good flush and a service bodywork was done new bumpers. Real good check over. but the one thing that was bugging me was the paintwork it wasn't bad had faded abit was crème rather than white but the thing that bothered me was there was loads of sparks and weld burns in the paint and they left rusty dots in the paint when I washed it but eventually I decided a full respray. Dad did the bonnet and the roof and I did the rest and finally all was done washed cleaned and looking Top Dolla' Obviously there were problems along the way but I kept going and the first time I drove her it felt amazing knowing id put her back on the road and it worked ! So obviously the first thing I did was take it to the nearest National speed limit road and scare myself, and boy did I ! I loved it that much I did what any kind son would do went home picked my mom up and made her relive what I had. Hit the throttle and wait for the cams to come in, and then go a little more
So yeah this is just a little introduction to F172 NYV (Lola as I call her) Hope you enjoy Thanks for reading and hope you'll be seeing more of me and my car in the future.
