16v body kit removal.

Post by 16valver »

just wondering how i remove the bodykit.
the front spats are stuck on with some tiger seal style goo. so could i heat the panel up and prise it off?
and how do the sill sections come off?

I removed the front wing (in a style.) and the a panel is completely shot. as was the wing btw.

not a job i would tackle at this time of year, the plastics will be more brittle and more likely to crack under stress, unless you have a nice warm garage? good luck with your mission as it took me an hour a side just to remove the rear wheel spats on my tzd.

It took me a full day to remove two rear sections on one side. Okay I was being very careful, but once I've done the other side on mine (I can't wait!), is something I hope to never do again. Perhaps the most unpleasant job I've ever done on a car, due to the fear of breaking something that is virtually irreplaceable...

Good luck :-)
