It's not often you see one of these beauties for sale, it would sit lovely next to my green one :-). VERY underrated cars and compared to contemporary rivals a bargain with miles better handling.

Does not look very bonkers. The Visa GTI looked like a nutters car. The BX less so. Its all got rather sensible and, for me, the ZX needs something, as it is a boring car to look at. A Citroen that is boring to look at..... Oh dear.
Be a good engine, tweaked up, for a Matra Murena, where it can marry the look for the performance. If I lived in left hand drive land something like that would be in my garage. Still at the moment a cheap way of finding a ditch fast, which is possibly why they are rare. I think that is what happened to the Visa GTIs. Mind you the tweaked Matra would be in the field further on!

You know you want it, their not that silly on juice If your sensible I'd quite happily run mine everyday if needed. It looks to have been cared for too so there shouldn't be much outlay to get it up to scratch, and as much as I'd like another bx16v these are the better daily driver.

I can see the reason for the volcane td then, just don't drive the 16v then they are very addictive. Volcanes occasionally come up for sale but they are getting very rare too.

They're smart, competent cars and I've driven a couple that belonged to friends (a 1.4 and a TD), but I'm afraid they do nothing for me. Glad to see that others are happy to buy and preserve them though.

It depends what engine is fitted, the 1.4 & TD are extremely boring motors, the 16v is a different beast, its got character :)
