If you mean cleaning the "potentiometer" inside, The top cover can be removed by gently prising it off. Clean the tracks with IPA.
Although, if you're not experiencing erratic idle there's little to be gained. If you are, you may benefit from re-tracking the needle slightly. A common 16V fix that worked well for me far too many years ago.
The cover will need to be well resealed with a light bead of silicone.
