gti 8v throttle body wanted

looks as tho the top butterfly is bent or has been apart in the past and damaged as it does not close fully, even with the TPS removed and the idle screw wound out, if you push hard on the linkage it closes and the idle speed drops to normal, so something is not right here, hence causing the high idle, the ign timing is now set @ 2 degree before TDC and the low range 2000rpm hesitation is now gone, so has anyone got a throttle body i could borrow to see if it cures the prob, with a view to purchase if solved, will gladly pay postage costs both ways. mine has AML? or AMC? on the body and has 35mm butterflys.

Brian- as an option: edwards & son, billericay, had a gti auto in there last year - maybe worth checking.

Im getting reptative I know...Alan Goodyear had a couple of GTi 8v's when we last went but they were possibly pre facelift (87-98)
