A triumph of buggering up two rare cars and then not having the wit to finish it properly. No doubt such a bright idea will command a silly price leaving the new owner an uneconomic white elephant. Rather sad really, especially as the vehicle has a slower set of speed limits and higher toll fee level. Want to look shit and go fast, eat dodgy curry on the rally fields, the rats will find you.

I think I know this van - if so it was once owned by a well known 2CVer, and ended up in the current owners hands as they happened to be working on it for him when he died!

It has a GTi spec interior, which I believe may have been original (although I'm happy to be corrected on this) and I think it was TD powered.

Although if I'd found a basket case van I may have been tempted to modify it (as I am with Fred!), in this case it's a shame, as it was a well looked after motor that I may have been interested in had it been left alone!

Not going to lie, I do miss the instant 'go' with petrol but when the turbo hits boost it still puts a smile on my face

I also see that the 'Reserve Not Met' flag has now been extinguished so theoretically it should sell !

However only time will tell, I also note that the current bidder has currently bid 4 times on this one and only item and their feedback is Zero (I know we all have to start somewhere on E-bay, but rather strange for the buying of a BX like this)

That's the shitty thing about eBay, have sold 4 car through it 2 of them had no contact from winner.

Don't know what enjoyment these people get from it !

Assuming it sells, that's more than I expected - I thought that it would have a reserve no one would pay because of the work put into the engine. After failing to sell a few times they'd have possibly ended up pulling the engine and scrapping the van.
