I need the plastic "bungs" and large washer for the gearbox end of the clutch cable AS PICTURED BELOW.
I also need the cable retaining ring/clip that slots into the top of the bellhousing to hold the cable captive (at the back of the picture).
Folding type beer tokens on offer!
Cheers!

Re: WANTED: Clutch cable parts
Question: I see you changed over the clutch release lever to the 16v and TD type. I am planning to do this too soon on my GTi and am wondering which clutch type you fitted, was it the larger 16v and TD type and if so does this fit onto the original flywheel or does that need swapping over too ?

Re: WANTED: Clutch cable parts
I fitted the normal 200mm one, i'm not sure if the PCD of the bolt holes on the flywheel are the same as the 215mm but i would think the extra 15mm could easily be taken out in the covers manufacturing so they may be the same.
As i'm sure you're aware, there are 2 different clutch bearings so make sure you get the right one. Particularly if getting it from ebay!
The clutch i got was genuine Valeo and was stupidly cheap, there's a link to the ad in the Spotting section if they've got any left.

Still in stock!

EDIT:
I've just checked the Valeo catalogue and the 200mm clutches PCD is 235mm, whereas the 215mm clutch's is 245mm, so they're NOT interchangeable

Re: WANTED: Clutch cable parts
Just as a matter of interest i found on a recent search there are 2 different clutches fitted to the gti 8v, only the D6A and DKZ engine use a 200mm with a ball pin set up, the rest use a 215mm . the 200mm is pre 07/90.

Re: WANTED: Clutch cable parts
As far as I'm aware there are 2 types of clutches, a small one & a big one. I don't think they are interchangeable unless you change the flywheel as well.Jaba wrote:Question: I see you changed over the clutch release lever to the 16v and TD type. There are also 2 types of release bearing, one for each type of clutch setup. Generally (as far as I know) the smaller clutch comes with a release bearing that works on the ball type release arm & the bigger one comes with one that works with the pivoting arm type.
I haven't got one on my clutch cable & so far it has never come off.JayW wrote:Now have all the parts required including the cable... Except:

Hope that helps.

As in the plate that looks very much like the lock barrel retaining plate in the door of a Pug 306?JayW wrote:Still need the securing clip for the top of the 'box.
I'd have thought you can still order them from Citroen.
