Black bx19 GTi 8v 1988

Post by puddock »

Unfortunately I am having to sell my beloved Beazley and get myself something a little more economical as work circumstances have changed and I am having to travel further each day. I will post pics once I find some willing person to lend me a computer for a few minutes but ad is on Gumtree now. Any serious offers considered. Link below

Hi Katie,
I see that you've also got your BX listed on E-bay too, but you never mentioned it this thread ?

Thank you! I totally forgot to add it to this thread. I've been running around all week and trying to get the BX sold before I have to renew the insurance next week.

Not sold! I am taking the car through to my mums tomorrow where it will be SORNed and kept off road until I get a buyer. So it's still for sale for the right price.

There's no ebay sales I can find for that price let alone a GTi, or a black one for that matter.

Just out of interest, how much will you be spending on the replacement car? Would it not work out cheaper to get the BX lpg'd instead?

I did consider getting the BX converted to LPG at one point but I don't have that kind of cash spare at the moment and I was offered money for "a newer, more reliable car" by my dad so took it and got a C4. Not as much fun as the bx but far easier on the pocket fuel wise! If my dad had his way he'd be making me scrap the BX but there's no way I'm doing that! If I get myself a better job I'll be un-Sorning him and put him on a classic policy if I haven't sold him by then!
Thanks for the suggestion though :)

Don't forget, if you have classics, you can get a classic policy and put a modern car on it as well.
The broker I use says 3 cars minimum, one can be anything, the other two have to be classics.

Sold.......Finally! :D Bit sad that I'm no longer an owner of a BX but I'm sure I will revisit in the future when funds and time allow. Thanks to everyone who has helped me over the last few years with advice/parts etc.
