So this thread in the general part of the forum reminded me to share this picture with the community, it doesn't seem to exist on the internet anymore.
The picture is originally taken from the workshop manuals and shows how to modify a set of plumbers grips to for easy removal of the band strap on the front BX suspension leg that holds the leak back harness in place.
Personally I've never found the need for them, and normally use a set of side cutters to open the clip and mole grips to close it back up again.

I managed to buy a small tool as part of a 5 tool set, which works a treat, i'll take a piccy if i can locate it in the garage, it's chaos in there again
