If BAH wasn't all blown up, then yeah. I'd be up for it in the Saxo actually
Or I could bring the 16TRS. Might need a calendar to record the 1/4 mile on that though

Re: My Black GTi
Yeah I've done it a few times in the BX. Traction is crap though as it's far too slippery. Vanny did it a couple of times at pod too, IIRC.
Best time in the 16v was 15.69 @ 92mph, but that was on an airfield with proper grip!

Re: My Black GTi
If they had never made a BX16V, the GTI would be the most desirable BX version IMO.
And the 8V is definitely no slouch. I was very impressed by the acceleration of mine.
I had one for 8 years, concurrently with a 16V for a few.
The 8V is quieter & more relaxed for long distances, mainly because of the gearing.
Its also got it's torque at lower engine speeds, which is better around town.
Jaba did a gearbox mod to raise 5th gear for further improved motorway cruising & mpg, which inspired the mod a few have made to their 16V gearboxes.
That's a lovely example you have there.

Re: My Black GTi
OMG SUNROOF DEFLECTOR etc!
Very nice. I notice yours has painted bumpers, whereas my G reg GTi has grey plastic. Do you know if yours have been painted, or perhaps retrofitted from another car? (front splitter suggests the latter perhaps)
Also, I do like the look of those chrome bumper inserts, even if they aren't original - I'm planning to fit those to mine.
