Cooling system bleed screw needed urgent

Managed to snap the top off mine now its pissing coolant, this is the small plastic bleed screw located on t/stat housing, anyone got one? For a gti 8v

I haven't got one but isn't this a standard metric thread? Possibly 5 or 6mm in which case a short hex head bolt might get you out of trouble for now.

Spotted the above myself, mine is plastic with a small o ring, but for a few quid gotta be worth a punt, just a case of getting the broken bit out.

I won't use this bleed screw, as it is a part that becomes brittle and breaks. So now I just leave in place and use the radiator upper bleed screw instead. Seems to work OK if you top and repeat after running a bit, certainly not noticed anywhere not getting filled correctly. Probably a heat cycling thing on the polymer and with such a fine thread, I'd be a bit concerned about stripping the thread on the thermostat housing, a more difficult thing to fix! I'm assumming it's like the black plastic version on my 1.6s'... most likely Nylon 66 btw.
