Ian, would it be worth getting the spline (or whatever it was) to go on the 4x4 on Steve`s drive?
I know the car`s been quite heavily stripped but barring the exhaust I`m sure we`d have most if not all of the other parts required? Or is the white 4x4 too far gone?

The white 4x4 needs welding but its nothing particularly hard.

I suspect the spline shaft is knackered in this one too :-)

I was told that it was a good running car but needed quite a few bits and pieces after a failed MOT things like ball joints welding cv boots etc and the owner who works in the yard just drove it in to where it is now.

I've never taken one apart either but as i work at Rolls-Royce manufacturing aero engines i'd like to get a spare box and spline shaft in good nick to see if something a bit stronger could be made up. I'm sure the expertise in the rework cell could make something seriously tough.
