Best place to get suspension pipes and unions

Hi all, my GT wil shortly be going off to get her MOT. Part of the pre-MOT work will be replacing the suspension pipe from the accumulator to somewhere behind the engine, to make things easier for a non-citroney garage where is the best place to them to get suspension pipes and unions etc? Thanks.

Also as an aside, I have read it is legally allowed to drive an insured, untaxed, un-MOT'd car to a MOT booking thus avoiding getting a trailer and tow car and the associated cost. Anyone had dealings with this legal titbit?

Pleadies used to be the best (most common) place to get hold of pipe etc, not sure if they're still around.

Yes you can drive your car to and from an MOT station provided it is booked in for a test, so long as it's insured. If you got pulled on the way there, you might get issued with a producer if you haven't got your docs with you.

If you know the garage they can actually cover the insurance under their trade policy, need number etc. All this is subject to 'a reasonable distance'. So for a car, you start taking a chance if your traveling passed several MOT stations to another, without the backing of the trade cover. This is why I foster a relationship with a favoured MOT guy.
With a trike the MOT venues are greatly dispersed, so some mileage is needed passing stations who have not got the correct license.
I do not know if plating operates on the same system. But there must be some arrangement.

Surely Plaedies can supply pipe and fittings, tho last time i spoke with Martin he quoted 6 weeks for 3.5mm pipe as they have it specially made to order but that was a while back, worth a try 01487831239 is their number. Ive always used them reasonably priced and good postal service.
