Steering Ram bushes?

Post by motorgnome »

Hey guys. Where do I get the bushes either end of the power steering Ram? Are they fitted to any other vehicles?
I'm not finding anything online?
Cheers

Doubt you will find spare parts anywhere, prob a case of having some made now, I have a good s/h rack if you need one.

Thanks.. I thought that might be the case.. Even more of a problem when I'm in Australia. I've got the rack body at the engineer's, getting a new bush made for the end of it.. Looks like I'll give em the Ram too.

Cheers for that.. I won't bother looking any further.

Have you checked at Citroen? I got them for my XM without an issue and I think they were used on other cars.

You can create an account at Service Citroento access the parts catalogue for your car then phone your dealer with the number, or someone friendly in Europe can get them and then post to you.

Good luck.

Just had a quick look and I think the bushes for the power steering assistance ram are:
405906 with a 20mm diameter up to RP03614
405907 with a 22mm diameter after RP03615

Service.citroen.com is incredibly useful!

Thanks for that... I contacted my local Main Dealer & they are nil stock Australia.. But I found these on ebay by putting the part number in..You would never find them by description otherwise. I reckon that's them.
