Hydraulic system kitbash..

As I understand it pulling the hydraulic system off one of these cars and fitting it to another car shouldn't be that difficult.

The globes could be fitted remotely from the dampers and if the steering rack is compatible with the fluid and pressures the power steering pump could be pulled & replaced with the c-pump. The valve case, reservoir, splitter valve and all the other bits could be fitted as space allows. Although in many cases 4 x front dampers would be needed (eg the Accent LCII uses mcpherson struts front and rear (all round independent suspension)).

The only real problems I can see are whether it's possible to make up custom interconnect piping and how the height control works.. manual or electronic/electrical?

Given that the more modern a car is the more pitiful the ride, it might not be a bad idea.. I'd be interested in people's opinions..

I don't recall mentioning scrapping a car. I don't remember mentioning that at all. I was more thinking along the lines of refitting a vehicle with parts that have been remanufactured or taking the parts from an unsavable basket case, rebuilding the bits that need it and proceeding accordingly. I think they call it recycling.
Although since apparently the piping is stainless steel that might complicate matters a bit.
My car is in for mot at the moment and I've got a kia rio as a courtesy car, nice enough but I can feel my spine disintegrating because the ride is abysmal. 5 years different from mine (newer, same company) and a 45% higher chance of spinal injuries. A retrofit kit with BX grade hydraulic suspension would transform the thing - its true that standard suspension parts would do the same but try finding springs that have a softer, not harder rating aftermarket.. About the same chance as finding bump stocks in Aldi.

believe me, this system is only really good for the BX. i have a BX that i am currently selling because the system does not work right. its fine if you never touch it but as soon as you mess with it you are in a world of trouble.

nothing like air ride for cars without height adjustable suspension.

I'd think the obvious lack of understanding of the basic principles and terminology would be the second brick wall. The first, of course, again, being why?!

If you want hydraulics, just buy hydraulics, there's plenty of Chinese kits out there easier to install and better designed if you want to do Yankee style bouncy bouncy party tricks.
