tow bar and other bits

Post by benofbrum »

I have a BX tow bar, but not sure if it was on a hatchback or estate. I have had both over the years. It has a flange going forward from each end of the crosspiece. There are 2 mounting holes in each flange 12mm dia on 95mm centres. Free on collection or £10 to include tow ball and new 7 way socket.
Also two plastic coated cross rails to fit on estate roof bars. These were fixed with 6mm screws through holes drilled through the roof bars. Free
Haynes diesel engine manual '84 to '96 £5 plus postage
Two Haynes manuals for petrol engines, one '83 to '87 the other '83 to '93 postage and packing cost only

Hello Beno!
I am looking for a BX estate towbar for a long time.
Problem is - i am in germany. I think, shipping would be too expensive... :(
Greetings Steve

I am not sure that it is for an estate. It may be from a hatchback

I'm interested in an hatchback one. I'm in Coventry, where are you?

Could I buy the bar then please, and claim the estate roof bars? Could collect over the weekend if convenient.

You certainly can. I will be away from tomorrow morning till Sunday evening though. I am usually at home on most week days though or next weekend.

I have found out from Dean that the tow bar is the light duty version and is still available
