propshaft support bearing
My 4x4 needs the propshaft support bearing replacing, the rubber surround is badly worn. I believe there is one for a mercedes that may fit, does anyone know which one? and if there is, does it go straight on or does it need modifying. I can get the propshaft repaired by a place in holmes chapel but it would suit me better timewise if i could do it myself.

Re: propshaft support bearing
my propshaft is getting bad now it's banging in the morning now for the first 50 yards, if i were to remove the propshaft will i be able to drive the car as a 2 wheel drive with the diff lock on? with the diff lock solenoid activated for prolonged periods could it damage it? theres a place in holmes chapel reckon they can repair it but it will take a few days and i will need to use the car in the meantime.
