Brake douser leeks!

Post by womble3go »

Hi All,

Been chasing leeking hyd oil, and seam to be a return pipe on the under side, manged to get it out by pulling engine forward to sort but have found oil in the foot well is this from the return pipe or is the unit at fault in side?

Thank you.

That return pipe is a common failure. its very difficult to get off as well as you have found out. Its unlikely to be another leak as well on the doseur as the LHM just tracks back inside the car and soaks into the felt under the carpet. Messy.

The rubber cap on the brake valve commonly leaks, the brake valve is the same on all hydraulic Citroens form DS to Xantia.
