WANTED...ABS Sensor.

- My Cars: At last a BX! BX19 TZI, others are Toyota Prius, Bedford Rascal (in bits!), SYM gti250, Honda Chaly, Hymer (Fiat) 644G. Previous cars… Dyane, GSA (I think) been that long! Visa, CX Safari.

WANTED...ABS Sensor.
Forgive the shout out but still trying to source a rear drivers side ABS sensor for my BX19 TZi estate. Anybody have one or any clues. Cheers., Phil

These are very difficult to find as you have no doubt discovered.
I presume you have tried to probe the cable to see if there is a break somewhere. If you find one you can splice in replacement cable. The cable is usually what fails due to the continual flexing or the external sleeving can crack allowing moisture ingress followed by corrosion inside the cable.
I have repaired several of mine in this way.

They are hard to find.....you could of course disconnect the warning lamp....
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Phil I've got aa rear abs sensor on an arm here, I don't know if its any good cos I don't know how to test them, not sure which side either are they sided? Its looks ok and the wiring was intact last time I saw it.

Testing is simple, just put a meter across the coax plug and measure something near 1000 ohms to prove its a good'un.
They are not handed but almost impossible to remove from the arm with terminal damage.

I've just been out to have a look good news is its ok showing around 1030ohms bad news is its oon a passenger side arm, I'm not prepared to try and remove it as they are quite fragile, I will sell you the complete arm for £40 if you're interested.
