Hi
Are you still looking for a project.
I have a 1992 BX TXD Turbo with 72000 miles. Owned by my family from new. It runs and drives but has not been on the road for 4 years. Needs a few bits sorting to pass an mot (brakes, leak on suspension although it does raise and solenoid for starter motor needs replacing. Can short across solenoid and car starts on the button.
Let me know if you would be interested.
Cheers
Michael

As ideal as this:
1990 bx turbo diesel tzd estate
Genuine 48k documented miles and service history
Runs drives and lifts
Very good clean interior
Good paintwork and no lacquer peel

It does need a bit of tidying and some welding
100% complete
1 previous recorded owner and 2 keys
Could potentially make a very nice and now rare bx

For sale at the right price

Rear end of sills and inners may need some work, from what I can see the axle mounts are OK, also the rear floor pan is quite rusty on the underside, I'm sure there is a few bits elsewhere that may need attention, not gonna BS you the car needs work to bring it back to life but it's a good base to start from, I've done a fair bit to it but don't have the time or inclination to finish it, my other t/d is in a million pieces and that's priority at the mo.
It's worth a look if Yr interested
I've fitted new wishbones, front discs and pads, welded inner wings and bulkhead, replaced front wings bonnet grille headlights and complete front headlamp panel as it had light accident damage but nothing structural I've also fitted replacement front and rear matching bumpers with the wide rubbing strips to match the door trim rubbers.

Sounds like you have done loads, and I wish I could take it on.

Sadly, I don't have the necessary ability to take on that amount of welding, plus lack the space to do it as well.

Two questions actually.

What would it need to get it through an MOT and how much would you want for it?

It would need all the welding finishing, it will need a few hydraulic leaks fixing-I'm sure they are perished return pipes, I can't guarantee that's all but it's a 30 odd year old car, it Will no doubt need fettling, tinkering, and I suspect an amount of wizardry to get it up to mot standard bearing in mind the car was last used in 2013.
It will need a proper and thorough service Inc cambelt, brakes, and changing All the fluids, maybe a clutch as the pedal is a bit heavy-the clutch operates as normal
If I was offered the right money I would sell it otherwise it stays put patiently waiting in line.
This car is itching to be back on the road and begging for a polish and a nice set of speedlines

Good plan. Definitely deserves to be saved, given such low mileage.
