Wanted: Driver's Window, Bronze tint

If no-one on this forum has one for sale, does anyone have any suggestions on where I might try?

MPN is 95560675. Year is 1988 (early), although I doubt that matters much.

The earlier cars were bronze and after 1989 they all went to a green tint.

The place to try is chevronics and if he doesn't there is Alan Goodyear's BX graveyard in Whitlesey

As it happens I've already tried Chevronics, who have a clear one - which I'll probably go for, as I can then at least get the car back on the road.

Will give Alan Goodyear a call in the morning - appreciate the pointer, I don't think I knew about them.

I had a later (K reg - early '93 if I remember correctly) 19GTi as a company car. I do, however, clearly remember it having green tinted glass - but I assumed that this was because the body was white.

Do you think all the later GTis - even the Red ones - had green tinted glass?

The window tints was the same on all colours but changed on trim level and year, most early cars were clear with a bronze tint available as an option, then from 89/90 they went to green until end of production I think. By the end of production most cars has tinted windows asides the E/TE models.

I've got a window from a turbo diesel not sure which tint get you out of trouble if you're stuck

Update:

Not long after my last reply, I got a clear window - from Chevronics - and fitted that. Took ages to clean up all the broken glass!

So at least it's back on the road and my need for a bronze window is no longer quite as urgent.

Kitch & rutter123 - thanks for replying, would you mind checking whether yours are bronze? Tint code (at least on my 2 original windows) is 43R 000929.

However these tint codes are a bit of a nightmare. On the remaining 5 pieces of door glass - all of which seem to be bronze - there are 4 different codes!

So does anyone have a definitive list of tint codes that they could share with me?
