Hi guys.
I'm new to this forum and I was just wandering on your opinion.
I resently bought a bx hurricane as I had one years ago and my dad and a good friend of mine did. I came across a scraped gti and I took body kit off and other spares and I was going to put the body kit onto my hurricane or will I just leave as is.

Hurricanes are very rare indeed, especially in Eire
Personally I would keep as is, sell the body kit (if its from a 16v), the bumpers especially if you have them are rare!

It actually came out of UK before Christmas. Needed a bit of work. Flushed out lhm and clean filters, full service including gearbox oil. Had problem with starting it. It had to primed before every time you started it but it was only a problem with leak off pipes. Replace the 4 of them and all ok now. Starts and runs like a dream. Main car is a series 3 l&k superb but give me my bx any day. My kids hate it.

Lucky man to have a Hurricane my favourite BX. Dont spoil it with a body kit IMO.
I sold mine last year and have regretted it ever since. What was the UK reg of yours ?

According to howmanyleft.com there are five registered on the road and elven on SORN, so yes pretty rare now.

It also mentions a couple of GTi Hurricanes still out there, not a model I'm familiar with.

A GTi hurricane is basically a 1.9i 8v instead of a Turbo Diesel, visually they are the same except for the badges.

Also any idea where I would get nice mud flaps for it. I got a nice blaubunkt radio/ tape player. My kids think I'm off my head and they call it "the green yoke".
