17 TGD running issue

Hiya fella’s,
My 17 TGD n/a has a running issue, whereby when the fuel level gets to a below anything but a full tank, say 3/4’s full, then the engine begins to miss and will stall if the throttle is not opened further...
I really have no idea what this could be, it is particularly problematic if facing an incline, almost as if the fuel pickup from the tank is effected some how.
My BX has only covered 55k and has I believe spent lengths of time laid up and inactive.

Could be perished and corroded fuel lines, if they are the original steel lines and rubber pipes
When was the fuel filter last changed?
The tiniest pinhole leak can cause issues.

Fuel filter has been done about 1000 miles ago.

I would think you are drawing air. Has yours got a diesel pre-heater , these are very prone to drawing air and most owners use to simply by-pass them when they start drawing air as they are not required. Do a forum search for 'diesel pre-heater' . I bypassed mine on my TGD auto as it started drawing air after I brought it out of storage.

Pre heater is on the back of the engine on the offside , easier accessed from underneath. Just follow the fuel lines up to it.
