Front windows 'drop to the front' when closing
Hi - BX19GT power windows - when winding up, the 'fall towards the front of the car' - so create a gap of an inch or so at the back of the frames when closing to the top. Presume this is a relatively common problem ? Any tips to repair ? Cheers

probably wear and tear, pop the door cards off, check regulators are bolted up tight and lined up properly
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Could also be the metal runners on the bottom of the glass that have rusted through. They are made from aluminium these days and available from Chevronics.

Same thing happened to me on my TZD. It was the rusted runner
fitted to the bottom of the glass. Bought a new one from Chevronics, still needs fitting as we were unable to fit the glass in. We are due to take it to Rob as he has a specialist on site.

Yes they are too tight. I just open them up a bit so that they fitted without too much force.

Re: Front windows 'drop to the front' when closing
My GT did exactly the same, I replaced both front electric motors as the central rivet pivot point in the scissor like electric winder mechanism had enough play to allow the window to be wonky when going up or down, tipping forward or back. I also replaced the runners as these had been previously repaired by bonding two alternative runners to the side of the glass, of course the bond failed and the glass eventually fell into the door!
I also used the Chevronic's runners, took some force to get the glass in the rubber lined groove, but I guess that is the point - you don't want it coming out again! With new runners and motor mechanisms my front windows are lovely
