Between the showers and everything else.

Post by Dave_16v »

It rained on Sunday and it's raining today but yesterday was fine so I used the BX. With all that has been happening, it has been difficult to use the BX at all and finding time on the odd pleasant day is never easy. Anyway, I drove it yesterday, got the usual looks. What is that? Look at that! It is amusing but not unpredictable.

Anyone else managed to squeeze a drive in recently?
Prefer it to the Lamborghini, like Signor Gandini!

Not me unfortunately. I sorned the BX in April and it is still languishing in the garage. I have done one or two small jobs on it. Changed the oil and got a new dipstick last week. I need to get busy with some underseal and the front height corrector needs changing as it has a very slight leak but that is such a fiddly job that I have avoided it until now.
Great pictures BTW. Harrogate isn't it?
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Hi Jaba,

That's right, it is Harrogate. I rarely see any other BX around here, I think the last one I saw was a slightly sad looking 16v of all things, that was many years back.
Thanks for liking the pictures, everyone seemed to be out sunning themselves yesterday regardless of 😷, that spot was about the only free area I could find.

That’s a beauty Dave.

I spent a few days down in Dorset at the start of the month. Met a BX coming the other way at one point, very unusual these days! Needless to say much headlight flashing and waving as we passed.

That sounds good Rob, I always think a BX somewhere near the coast would be perfect. I imagine it must have been strange seeing another BX on the road, wonder who saw who first?

Loving your valver Dave 8) I haven't seen a BX for years, not event at shows. Can't remember seeing one since I had mine many moons ago. I can honestly say that I've seen more Commers than BXs'

I've seen 2 BX's besides mine on the road this year, a red and a white one. I think the white one lives 4 streets away from me as I've actually seen it twice coming out of the same street.

It looks well Vanny, you have some protection layered on going by the bonnet picture, an early morning shot ?

It's basically not stopped raining since I cleaned it. Not early morning. Straight after a down pour.
