Have just found that the rear centre seat belt consists only of the short part with the socket/release, and nothing else.
Would have expected at least a lap strap too, but it's not there - neither under the cushion nor behind the armrest drape.
Was the 5th belt some kind of optional extra in '92?

Re: Missing seat belt?
Surely not an option. You did check under the seat by folding it down(up)?

Re: Missing seat belt?
Yes, not there. Three release buckles, but only the two lap+diagonal main belts.

Re: Missing seat belt?
I doubt they’d install a release buckle without a belt for it!
Therefore I would suggest it’s been removed rather than being optional.

Re: Missing seat belt?
Just taken another look, and it's now obvious that the centre long belt has been removed. One of the anchorage bolts has a gap under the head, and is only anchoring one strap instead of two. Will get another belt ordered.
This afternoon's matriculation test should be interesting, for the 5-seater .

Re: Missing seat belt?
Now replaced. Complete new one only €14!
Was a tad concerned about the matriculation (re-plating) test, as it's meant to be exceptionally thorough, and for some reason a seat-belt check on all seats (and this is logged as a 5-seater) is normally done to the letter.
As it turned out, the matric test was anything but thorough - I think a mixture of minor industrial action at the centre, some obvious delight in seeing a BX in Malaga, and seasonal goodwill.
