Hello!
I on my way to replace a rear quarter panel and wonder what type of glue to use between the outer an inner panel? Original there was a thick layer of red foam similar glue. It has to build up a realy thick layer to tighten a gap between the panels.

Use a few hefty dollops of polyurethane adhesive for a lasting seal, or silicone sealant for something more removable.
Either will bridge a gap, as the dollop flattens.

Just a shame Citroen didn't use it (or enough of it) otherwise there would be a few more bx's surviving.

Sorry for late respond and thanks for your answer and tip. I think some kind of Sikaflex is a god Solution. I think there will bee a little gap to fill.
Here is a tread of my restoration in a forum. It´s in Swedish but you can maybe look at the pictures https://citroenakuten.com/viewtopic.php ... 8&start=15 The car did not has so much rust on the other panels but as you can see in under there is rust and rust and more rust. But this Valver has in original leather seats, AC and sunroof so for me it´s worth the job to restore it. The engine and gearbox is happily in good condition.
