Front strut O-rings

Post by white exec »

Does anyone have the dimensions of the pair of O-rings fitted to the front strut tops?
OE part number is 24 826 009, Suspension cylinder O-ring.
NFP, and not on Pièces de Rechange.
Unhelpfully, ServiceBox does not list the dimensions.

Thanks
Chris

They're a strange size, I had trouble trying to find some myself. Eventually I got some from a company based in the UK called Pladies. I don't know if they'll post overseas, but surely they're worth looking into. I was looking for these seals for months before someone on here suggested to contact them.

Hope that helps.

If you google the part number, you get a few bits which indicate that the DS used the same part, and maybe genuine ones are still available.

Have gone through that route, Mike.
That pt.no. is NFP.
Google search led to just the one supplier in Poland, which the OP on FCF has now ordered from.
We still don't know the dimensions of these, which is a shame, because pretty certain Polymax would have something suitable.
Annoying that SB doesn't list the size.

Yes its annoying that Citroen don't give the size of the o-rings. You could measure them of course but as Rutter says Pleiades can supply them as they actually rebuild the struts.
Actually I have never known them to fail or leak fortunately so I always just reuse the existing ones.
