Does the 18k miles check out?
How much did it cost in the end?
I paid the princely sum of £2200, which I believe to be a bargain. With a full tank of petrol.
I would agree!

I hope you have a garage/storage?

Thorough rustproofing an absolute must, then. These Citroens rust from the cavities outwards; the original outer paint is pretty good at keeping weather (and salt) at bay, and if wax-protected, any amount of rain isn't normally a problem. It's the hidden nooks and crannies that are poorly protected.

Not sure how much work you can do yourself, or want to do, but if rustproofing is something you feel like doing, take a look at the Sealey SG18 waxing gun - it runs off a 6-bar air-line - and can handle any of the available cavity waxes.

More than capable of doing the waxing. Just don’t have time. I tried looking around to find someone to do it. Most places have stopped this service. :(

Any chance of finding one, leaving that out in all weathers it will deteriorate rapidly, you can rust proof it but the paint, rubber, plastic trim will age.

A good quality car cover will help if you have off street parking

Be careful with car covers, used outdoors. Unless they incorporate through-ventilation, they can actually trap moisture and humidity. An uncovered car will naturally dry off as soon as it stops raining.
IMO, better to organise some sort of car port, to keep the sun off. A bit of rain will not damage a car with decent paintwork, and waxing will look after everything else.
I had numerous ungaraged cars in the UK, but with waxed cavities and undersides, none of them suffered any rust. Sun damage is something else, though, and needs some protection. We get copious UV damage here in southern Spain, especially to cars with a clear lacquer coat.

By the way, are those wheel trims original? I love your car but think those don’t really suit it, sorry.

Maybe someone can help you out with a set of BX ones?

I suspect they are not original

I have no love for them either.

There is a set of ZX ones on Autoshite for £20, collection only from Coventry, if you want them?

They probably don’t look right either but better anyway.
