Wanted: Single Spoke Steering Wheel
I'm in no rush (as winter is coming) but I'd love to find a new steering wheel for the BX as I'm getting annoyed with mine disintegrating in my hands every time I use it. I don't mind what colour it is, so long as the coating isn't cracked and it cleans up nicely. Can do with the centre plastic as well but it's no deal-breaker if it doesn't come with the steering wheel.

Have one in brown. Rim is soft and compliant. Don't think I have the centre plastic parts.

The mark 1 I believe has a smaller (narrower) spoke. This has wider spoke with upside down "L" section for central cover.

That's right. The inverted L (big central pad/cover with badge) is the mk.2 wheel.

I wonder if this stuff would work on changing the colour to something like your original

Re: Wanted: Single Spoke Steering Wheel
It may but I'm not too concerned about the colour difference. Brown might clash but it's better than the disintegrating wheel I currently have!panky wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:47 pm I wonder if this stuff would work on changing the colour to something like your original

I'm not far away if you want to have a look at it first hand. Hometown is Horley, or at workshop at Burstow.
