Could be a potential goodun, I'd say the rear exhaust hanger is shot and history shows it's had some nearside rear end welding done about 5yr back.
Yes agreed the ad is a bit short most likely a scrap dealer judging by where the photos are taken.
Fair play at +2k , I might just hang on to my TD for a bit longer.

4 years ago I struggled to get 2k for my red gti which was in very nice cond and moted with history
YEs I hope its not too far gone and AN easy turn around with potential market value of +5k
