Hope it’s just a mild dose. Alas I cannot make it either now as I need to drive up to a Northumberland.

Best wishes, hope it stays mild, Kitch,

I have a family commitment today - myself and the Red Shed will be somewhere other than Chevronics.

Hope the event was a success. Due to the M11 being shut, we ended up going up the A1 by Hitchin… alas simply not enough time to call in.

There was a slightly amusing moment at South Mimms services when I was sitting in the car. I heard a voice: “It’s a BX!” Then another voice: “It’s a GTi! It’s an automatic!” Two men excitedly snapping away not realising that I was in the car… shame I had only time for a brief chat. One of them had seen a red BX in Southampton last week.

I did wonder! They would have loved a close up look at a 16v for sure.
