Hey all!
My transmission has been making quite a loud whining noise for the past few months.
I want to replace/refill the fluid, so I am curious as to where the fill port is.
Looking at the gearbox from the side, is this the fill port?
Also, what sort of oil should I buy?
Thanks!

That's the reverse gear shaft bolt, Don't undo that!
The fill plug is on the side of the gearbox, the biggest one in the metal plate, visible from the wheel arch.
If your gearbox is noisy, then it's possible that you'll need a gearbox rebuild, but definitely try new oil first. I can't remember what is in mine. It was recommendeded to me at the time.
Hope that helps.

Someone else found a spec sheet for the exact oil used in mine, so I am covered in that regard.
Also, I'd rather avoid a gearbox rebuild. For now I just want this one to work the best it can.
And, since I am new to DIY, how do I drain the gearbox?

See: viewtopic.php?t=21202 Be sure to use a GL4 oil, not GL5 which is not compatible with the syncro rings in PSA gearboxes.
