Looks nice, that would be diesel here 😉
Prefer it to the Lamborghini, like Signor Gandini!

What was the process for locating a rare old car in Japan?

Actually this one was listed on a few online Japanese dealerships that I watch pretty regularly. I've been importing other cars from Japan for about 6 years now. Just filter by Citroen and manual transmission hah

Japanese cars tend to be well looked after with strict MoTs. By chance in Tokyo in 1998 I saw a Morris 1300 which for those rust buckets was in beyond incredible condition.

It's seems like my Italian 19 TZS, both from the nameplate and aesthetically. I think the rear light is different (on the side, where the arrow is). I look forward to updates :)

From a fellow BX owner in Texas! In the DFW area contact Javel, the Dallas shop with the best parts inventory in the US. He has a BX 16-valve, a parts BX 16, and various other Citroens and Peugeots around.

We should meet up there if you're ever in north Texas. Your photos are similar to my rig when I picked up my '88 BX 19 GTI (via container from Rotterdam) at the importer's place near Houston Hobby Airport, several years ago. That makes 9 BX models in the US that I know of, found several on BringATrailer. Looks a bit strange to have a fuel hose in a car on a trailer, unless it's push-pull. What are the specs. on yours?
