BX 1.9 TXD hatchback for sale as spares or repairs. 1992. 186,000 miles and very well maintained throughout its life.
Belonged to my late dad since 2001. Fastidiously maintained but sadly fell fowl of a little tin worm about 7 years ago and hasn't been on the road since. Been dry stored throughout that time in my workshop. Much work already done as my dad wanted it back but sadly he died before I could finish it.
I've lost count of the amount of hours I have put into this car. New rear subframe mounting plates (purchased from Chevronics) and associated metal work repairs, various floor repairs and sill repairs. All done properly. Rear suspension arms have been shot blasted and painted.
New: front pads & discs, front anti roll bar link rods, OSF wheel bearing, both rear wheel bearings, full engine service, timing belt & water pump. Many other bits and pieces renewed. All receipts for parts with car along with a large file of service/parts paperwork. Very good tyres all round. Transmission, driveshafts, exhaust etc etc all in good condition.
Steel bonnet, Electric sunroof, CL(OSR door lock doesn't work on CL), electric front windows, etc etc. No radio.
Around 90% work complete. All parts fitted or with car. Boot full of spares including filters, front windows, door mirrors etc etc. Ask for detailed list if you like.
White paintwork a bit flat. Since restarting the engine after 7 years dormant with fuel tank off for repairs it revs to around 2500 rpm and won't tick over; haven't time nor motivation to investigate further so it goes like that. No battery with car but can start it using a spare battery. Hydraulics good. Brakes need bleeding. Very good and original GTi/TZD style interior. No MOT and on SORN.
Any reasonable offer accepted. Ideal spares car but could be fairly easily completed and enjoyed again.
