BX 19Gti 4x4 Parts

Post by H432VCH »

Hi everyone
I'm eventually getting around to restoring my 2x 4x4's- both RHD
Can you advise on any parts suppliers/breakers that could help please?
I need the following:
Driveshaft carrier bearing
Front passenger suspension strut
Front drivers cv joint
Glove box cover/panel

Many thanks

Driveshaft carrier bearing? The driveshafts don’t have carrier bearings on the 4x4, or do you mean the wheel bearings?

The front wheel bearings are the same as the standard BX & all four are the same on the 4x4, so you’d just order front ones instead, even if you needed rears.

The front struts are identical to the standard cars, so Pleiades or Chevronics might be your best bet & get yours repaired.

The outer CV joints are the same as the standard car. There are 2 sizes of driveshafts; bigger or smaller & then if the car has ABS or not, but a lot of part suppliers should be able to get the correct part. If possible, take the old parts with you to match up the size. The 4x4 should be the bigger size with a ABS ring.

The glove boxes are the same as a standard car, but are notoriously weak, so you’ll struggle to find one. Your best bet would be to try to modify & repair your existing glovebox.

Hope that helps.
