Am I getting soft in my old age?

Post by Philip Chidlow »

So to speak

My GTi seems to be riding a bit hard. I had the spheres checked recently and they're OK. a recent rinse and renewel of LHM hasn't softened it at all (not that I expected it to). However, I know GTi spheres are a bit firmer than others so wondered what spheres I should consider putting on to soften the ride over coarse town roads and lumpy bits of B-road. somebody said turbo diesel spec spheres were softer. But I don't know how to specify such things to make sure my suspension chap (who is incredibly reluctant to spend my money, bless 'im) gets my drift.

Or am I looking in the wrong place for the problem?

 Are your height corrector linkages free to operate OK or are they inhibited by rust?
