I still think that`s worth it though Tim IF the `right` buyer sees it. Bit of a specialist market I reckon but I`d seriously consider it if I wasn`t (allegedly) saving up for a deposit on a house. There can`t be too many low mileage ones left now and it does look well though a few close up pic`s would help it`s cause.

The 14's have always appealed to me, i suppose its because I see them as being the 'purest' of all the BX's. Of course you could argue that the BX10 or BX11 is even purer!
Maybe that'll start the debate as to whether the BX10 ever existed? The BX11 definately existed but the myth of the 1 litre BX is still as far as i know unknown.
The lack of power steering puts me off 14's though.
There was a blue 14 on ebay over a year ago now. Its owner sent me a spreadsheet of everything that had been done to it and a description of why it had been done. It went for silly money (very little!) in the end.
I think this one is definately worth the starting price. Somebody will buy this because its a low mileage car with tax and MOT.

1400's (TU) I would say are better all rounders than the 1600's in my opinion. Having owned both, the 1400 was far more economical, pretty much as quick and more fun. The steering wasn't heavy at all, even though I was expecting it to be. But obviously the non-PAS cars have 3.7 turns lock to lock, with the PAS ones having 2.8.
The early XY types aren't to my taste....I wouldn't touch one with a big barge pole! Thats why my mk1 was a 1600, and hopefully my next one a 1900.
