It's local and looks like a good starting point for me - at least it goes!

I will be making my application to bid to the domestic authorities!

Needs a good polish, and you won't pull in it but they're decent cars.

I can't stand those trims though

I agree red's not going to have lasted that well, but with carefull applications of various compounds and polishes I should be able to get it looking half decent. If not, if I did get it for a decent price, I can also ask a body shop I know to quote on a pukka respray. After all if the car does everything well and is in good order, why not?

I agree about the wheel trims. Part of me thinks 'keep it original' the other says 'I think I'll put silver GTi alloys on it, or even c.1992 GTi trims, which I happen to be quite fond of...'

Let's see anyway. Still haven't decided to go for it...

Must admit Philip - I am seriously tempted to have a look as its quite near my parents,

I prefer estates to hatchbacks and I need a towbar for the family trailer(my RD doesn't have one at the minute)

Sadly I could not have 2 BX's  , so if I got this, my superb little 1.9RD would have to go, which in itself would be a shame seeing how she is a very good example of a low mileage (61k Genuine Miles) diesel BX

I'm weighing up the pro's and con's at the minute, though I wont bid against you so if you have your heart set on it and intend to bid let me know and I wont bid at all.....

I always say, if I intend to bid or not - it's an auction so we shouldn't worry too much - so long as we are serious about wanting something and bid responsibly - if anyone in the Club wants a stab too. It's free market economy, after all. Having said that, my budget would be miserably low so I will watch and see, but don't think I will be in serious contention unless some of my slow-payers pulll their finger out

Go for it. You want, make a bid. I'm sure there'll be non-Club people out there who won't worry about us! :D
