My dad has taken on the GT for a full resto.....this is great news for the car!

Along with a respray, he is after a set of Metrics to finish it off visually. Anyone able to help?

Thanks

How about this!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-1000-kp30- ... dZViewItem

Mind you its fetching a heck of alot. Aparenty you can put a Daihatsu charade GTti engine in them too (100 BHP standard on a 1 ltre turbo lol)

Also, Ive been after Mk 1 alloys for ages. Ive not seen any for sale anywhere so ive given up. I think the hubcaps on the GT look quite good anyway, and you can still buy them new as they pop up on ebay every nowand then.

Adamski, that Toyota is stunning. I know beauty is in the eye of the beer holder and all that Jezzie, but have you seen inside the 200SX? No disrespect to any owners but I can honestly say I don`t think I`ve ever seen such an awful interior.

Back on topic, what`s the betting some wheels will turn up attached to a cheap car on eBay one day? You might even find a complete car at the right price, keep the wheels (swap them for steels) and sell car on for a resto project? Also have you tried `want it now` on eBay?

Yeah i've seen inside one and driven one, but the intierior thing is just par for the course really for all Jap hot hatch/sports cars of that era, they are all naff.

i agree with that! they are a little on the bland side inside the 180/200sx's! but they do what they are meant to and in typical jap fashion keep doing it for as long as the car runs!
everyone down here is no going of ranythign rwd! althgouh most seem to be getting old 1.8 beemers!
almost all mini roundabouts on quiet roads have thick black marks around htem now!

I don't want a Rover. 2.8 Capri's aren't as fast as everyone makes out and to me the early XR4i is cooler.

200SX is boring, but Starion Widebody is one of my all time favourite cars.

That Toyota is cool.

Sapphy Cossies are slow unless you tune them......which has been done a million times already and they usually blow up.

Now......Metric wheels :?:

Kitch, forget metric wheels, what you want is a Xantia V6!
