Paint Code

Another basic question sorry, but were do i find the paint code, it's a white GTi on a f plate & i need to touch her up.

I think it`s on a silver metal plate under the bonnet somewhere, possibly located on the front panel on the passenger side of the car. The plate will also probably include other details inc. chassis number etc.

Its stencilled on the LH inner wing in the engine bay behind the air filter.
Look for 3 capital letters with possibly a couple of other letters as a suffix.

Watch out halfords dont always get a good match and it is very thin paint mine was at least 2 shades off I got mine from a specialist paint place Fishers Motor factors Lincoln.

it's not perfect but it's quite close, it's only a touch up til i can get a decent white door & it looks better than it did this morning, it was my first attempt at spraying so i wasn't expecting much.
The thing i love about this car is i can play til my hearts content, it cost me sod all so if i break it it's not the end of the world, i intend to try most jobs over the next 12 months, keeping her tidy & running throughout. although i know she'll never be mint.
