BX 4x4 Gearbox/Transfer box Cheap on Ebay!

This could prove an interesting project for those who like taking things to bits and putting them back together...

Also it might prove a way of discovering if there IS a way to make these more robust/reliable by maybe having splined item machined from slightly harder metal?

Either way it's got to be a worthy addition to any BX 4X4 owner's collection!

I know why they fail.Apparantly,the splines on the transfer box shaft are quite fine and easily chew up.Having said that,my 4x4 has 160k on the clock and the transfer box is still OK

i know that information as well dean, i'd just like to see the nasty little bugger for myself, then find someone who fancies making something much tougher! Then attach it to a 2.8HDi bi-turbo and wedge it back under a 4x4
